Theresa Patton is a distinguished writer, healthcare executive, and burgeoning film producer dedicated to examining themes of access to care, equity, and human connection. With more than 25 years of experience, she has led strategic initiatives across the healthcare system. Her work focuses on ensuring patients have access to appropriate, cost-effective care.

She holds a PhD in Business, where her research examined how insurance coverage influences the use of preventive care services among women. Expanding into storytelling, Theresa is drawn to narratives that highlight disparities and raise awareness about the barriers people encounter when accessing care. In her character-driven work, she brings a deep understanding of the structural forces that shape individuals’ lives and influence the decisions often made on their behalf.

She also develops narratives across a variety of genres, including romantic comedies, focusing on themes of connection, identity, and everyday transformation. She is an Executive Producer on PEGGY and is currently developing original film projects that highlight women’s experiences and access to care.
